African Politics Instructor -Kafui

This course deals with the state and politics of socio-economic development in colonial and post-colonial Africa. This course aims at helping subscribers appreciate the nuances of the contemporary issues of leadership, public institutions, and peace in African politics and development. The course will equally engage the issues of belonging and integration of the African diaspora. Participants would be challenged to think outside the box and challenge problematic concepts and historical revisions about Africa.

Description

Kafui Tsekpo is a young academic passionate about the politics, leadership and development of Ghana and Africa. His current research interest straddles Social Policy; Post-conflict peace-building; Leadership, Security & Development; Institutions, Opposition politics & Democracy in Africa. He is currently a with the South African Research Chair in Social Policy at UNISA, Pretoria and an alumni of the African Leadership Centre, King’s College London. Kafui is a member of the International Public Policy Association, Development Studies Association-UK, South African Sociological Association, Conflict Research Network-West Africa and Ghana Studies Association.
